Mayor Aki-Sawyerr previously served as the Director of Planning at the National Ebola Response Centre during the 2014-2015 epidemic and, later, Delivery Team Lead for the President’s Recovery Priorities.

He previously served as Foreign Minister of Uruguay (2010-2015) and was elected to the Senate of Uruguay (2014) before taking the position of OAS Secretary General.

Mr. Eduardo Amadeo is an Argentinian economist, diplomat and politician. He currently serves as a Member of Congress in Argentina, representing the Province of Buenos Aires. He previously served as Minister of Development; Ambassador of Argentina to the United States; and President of the Bank of the Province of Buenos Aires.

Ambassador Arria is a former Permanent Representative of Venezuela to the UN and former President of the Security Council. He previously served as Governor of Caracas and Minister of Information and Tourism; other appointments have included Diplomatic Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and Visiting Scholar at Columbia University.

H.E. Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie is the newly appointed Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the United Nations. Former Ambassador to Egypt, and previously Ethiopia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Taye has also served as Director General for American Affairs, Ethiopia’s Consul-General in Los Angeles, Minister Counselor in the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington, D.C., and Counselor in Stockholm. He holds an M.A. in international relations from the University of Lancaster, UK.

Mr. Abdérahmane Berthé is the Secretary General of African Airlines Association and the former CEO of Air Mali and Air Burkina. Mr. Berthé built his career in various airlines and multicultural environment both in Europe and Africa at positions such as aircraft performance and dispatch engineering, maintenance and operations quality, ground operations and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Berthé graduated from the French Civil Aviation school, the French Aeronautical and Space school, and the Toulouse Business School.

Author of the book “A Path to Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.”

Mr. Nasser Bourita is the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Morocco since his appointment in April 2017 by His Majesty King Mohammed VI. He was previously Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to that, he held several key positions of responsibility, including Director of the United Nations and International Organizations. As a career diplomat, a strategist and a technician, he handles several important portfolios and masters the multilateral and bilateral dynamics essential to the Foreign Service.

Mr. Santiago Canton is Secretary of Human Rights, Buenos Aires province, Argentina, and Chair, UN Human Rights Council’s Commission of Inquiry on 2018 Protests in the OPT. He previously served as Director, Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights; Executive Secretary, Inter-American Commission on Human Rights; and as the Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Expression in the Inter American System.
